Lidl, Entre Quintas Douro Reserva, Douro Valley, Portugal 2021

A regular in Lidl's Wine Tours, this crowd-pleasing, full-bodied red is a blend of traditional Douro red grape varieties, aged for a year in a mix of French and American oak. Darkly coloured and darkly fruited – think slightly salted black cherries – with a charcoal grip to it. A good choice to accompany roast beef or lamb, or a hearty casserole.
