Portuguese Alvarinho hasn't gained the same traction as its alter ego, Spain's Albariño, and this is a good introduction to the style. This is just crying out for seafood – fresh and fragrant, elegant and pale, with lip-smacking acidity, ripe tropical fruit flavours and hint of spice.
