Looking for a good-value Champagne alternative? This traditional-method sparkler from South Africa should definitely make your shortlist, straightforward but very well made. Mainly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a tiny dash of Pinot Meunier, it ages for a minimum of 12 months before disgorgement, and often far longer. It's a lovely creamy mouthfeel of almost saline, zesty lemon citrus fruit, fresh, clean and offering great bang for your buck. Was voted a Wine Champion by the Society's buyers.
