A blend of white Rhône varieties Grenache Blanc, Marsanne and Roussanne, this is made from grapes grown on decomposed granite and shale soils, in a windy and rocky site in South Africa's Voor-Paardeberg region. Fermentation takes place in a mix of stainless steel and large oak casks, and the wine spends between three to six months on lees, adding texture and roundness. Expressive in character, with juicy pear and peach fruit, white flowers and some herbiness. Attractive New World expression of the white Rhône style, with good freshness. On offer at £7.49 from 1st to 29th December.
