More or less a half-half blend of Chardonnay with local grape Viura, this easy-drinking sparkling wine isn't Cava as it blends fruit from more than one Spanish region, and isn't made in the traditional method, as Cava is (in this wine the second fermentation takes place in tank). This is just above Brut sweetness level, with 14g/L residual sugar, and a fifth of the Chardonnay component has been aged in oak for three months. The result is a rounded, soft style of sparkling wine with easy, sweet stone and citrus fruit and a creamy finish. Uncomplicated, crowd-pleasing drinking.
