Crianza is a perfect entry into Rioja, aged for two years, of which a year must be in oak. It's an accessible style, and often good value, as here. Fresh and juicy, this offers plum and black cherry primary fruit flavours, and some subtle vanilla oak to frame it, well integrated. Good typicity, keenly priced.
