History:

Château Beauséjour, on the plateau just west of Saint-Emilion, has remained in the same family for generations, although their holdings originally included present-day Château Beau-Séjour Bécot. In 1869, the property was divided between brother and sister, with father Pierre-Paulin Ducarpe bequeathing the Beauséjour hectares to his daughter Madame Marie Duffau-Lagarrosse. Today, the many descendants of the Duffau-Lagarrosse family share ownership.
