History:

Imposing twin-turreted Château Caillou was bought by Joseph Ballan at

auction in 1909 (previous owner Louis Sarraute). Of M Ballan’s two

daughters, Reine and Renée, it was the former who took over the estate and soon became renown for her hands-on approach. In her turn, Reine would see her own daughter, Marie Josée Bravo, take over the running of Château Caillou with her husband Michel Pierre.
