History:

This Pomerol property was established in the 1730s by Libourne iron merchant Catherine Conseillan. Much of the original land was passed to her nephews, but Catherine retained the prime 12ha estate on the plateau between Pétrus and Cheval Blanc vineyards. During the 1750s, the château itself was added, and the property became known as La Conseillante. Since 1871, it has been owned by the Nicolas family.
