History:
The estate was owned by the Montalier family around the end of the 18th century, and stayed in its tenure for several generations. The creation of the Deux Mers motorway between 1970 and 1988 brought with it the destruction of the original château and chais, though the vineyard remained intact. The property was then – and still is – owned by the du Hayot family.
