ASC Fine Wines, China’s leading importer of fine wines, has opened a Hong Kong office.
In a bid to exploit the territory’s growing position as a wine hub for Asia, ASC is targeting Hong Kong’s retail, trade and direct sales sectors.
Hong Kong’s government axed excise duty on wine and beer earlier this year, sparking a surge in shipments and sales, especially of fine wine.
‘We are extremely pleased to be able to start our business in Hong Kong with such a strong portfolio of wine brands,’ said ASC CEO Don St Pierre Jr.
ASC, which already has several offices throughout China, imports Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, Louis Jadot, Santa Rita, Leeuwin Estate and Fonseca, among others.
