Decanter hosts rare Piedmont event

Decanter readers will have the chance to meet top Piedmont producers at a rare London tasting.

The Highlights from Piedmont event will bring together top wineries from Barolo, Barbaresco, Alba and Langhe e Roero at the Institute of Directors in London on 20 September.

More than 100 wines will be available to taste from 6.30-8.30pm. A session for the trade will be held between 11.30am and 4.30pm.

Decanter contributor Stephen Brook will also host a seminar for the trade, with recommendations for a modern sommelier’s wine list and insights into Barolo vineyard diversity.

Brook said: ‘The quality of Piedmont wines has never been better than it is today. This is a chance to see to taste some fantastic wines and find out there is more to Piedmont than Barolo.’
