Decanter writer and contributing editor, Stephen Brook, has been awarded the Wine Press Trophy at the bi-annual Grands Jours de Bourgogne festival.
Brook came out on top of the competition to claim the fifth trophy recognising a journalist (print, radio, television or online) whose work has ‘presented the wines of Burgundy in the most informative manner’.
The writer received the award for his Great Wine Route: Côte d’Or article in the July 2005 issue of Decanter magazine.
‘To really understand it [Burgundy] takes time, patience and humility,’ said Brook on receiving the award.
The prize is awarded at every Grand Jours de Bourgogne, a week-long bi-annual festival celebrating Burgundian wines.
