UK importer Enotria has acquired wine supplier Great Western Wine.
The Bath-based on-trade specialist has been sold to the London company for an undisclosed sum and, as yet, no reasons have been given for the sale.
Great Western’s founder, Philip Addis will join the Enotria Board as regional sales director.
All the staff from Great Western Wine will transfer to Enotria and the shop and its other facilities in Bath will remain under the new merged business.
Addis told decanter.com he ‘felt it was an appropriate time to ensure future stability and continuity of the business.’
