UK independent wine merchant Laithwaites has unveiled a new website.
The new-look laithwaites.co.uk was launched today as part of a 3-phase development, which will include the release of an i-Phone app later this year.
The new platform has been designed by ATG (Art Technology Group) to manage sales across several retail channels, including orders placed via the website, shops and phone.
Robert McCarthy, commercial director at Laithwaites Wine told decanter.com that the new website ‘will focus on creating a personalised customer journey.’
‘Online has become increasingly important to us and our customers, with website orders growing from 30% to 40% of our total orders.
‘Our biggest focus is our online mix – we’re matching customer behaviour.
‘We’d like to be more of a multichannel retailer and are looking to continue growing our online market share.’
