The competition that serves as a point of reference point in the world of Pinots
- The Mondial du Pinot Noir (MPN) is reference point, one of the major international wine competitions.
- It is open to all producers in the Pinot world, with more than 1,100 wines, from 22 countries, participating in 2008.
- It is a one-of-a-kind competition, for a single variety, but it is rich in strongly different expressions that reflect the many terroirs where the grape is grown.
- It gives producers a chance to measure their own wines against the best.
- For consumers, the Mondial du Pinot Noir offers a reliable guide, an assurance that among the winners will be wines they want to buy.The 12th Mondial du Pinot Noir will be held August 21-23, 2009, in Sierre, Switzerland. Registration closes July 25, 2008.
