Oddbins will close 39 stores as a result of a restructuring, the UK chain announced this afternoon.
The decision ‘is part of a complete strategic review to ensure the business can move forward on a solid footing,’ Oddbins said in a statement.
‘Due to the tough economic climate, the business is being restructured with the result that 39 branches across the United Kingdom will be closed over the coming weeks. The staff have been informed today,’ the statement said.
No other comment has been made. Oddbins, which has 132 stores across the UK, last week appointed Spectrum Corporate Finance to advise on its business strategy.
