Viña Maipo was founded in 1948 in Maipo Valley, home of Chile's most prestigious wines. It is Chile's fourth largest wine exporter and since 2007 the Head Winemaker, Max Weinlaub, has develop high-end wines with a fresh and elegant style. The flagship of the winery is the reserva line VITRAL which represent its origin, Chile.

Viña Maipo comes from the Maipo Valley worldwide recognized as the Chilean most prestigious wine region. From its very beginnings it has always had presence in the international market, consolidating today as Chile’s fourth largest wine exporter.

Viña Maipo is a reflection of the town’s tradition, culture, and passion for caring for its land and customs. Legend says: “It has been said for centuries in Maipo Town, that its vineyards have been miraculously protected thanks to a tradition. Every year, people gather around Maipo Church to pray for the safeguard of their lands. Surprisingly the vineyards appear to have been protected ever since.”

Max Weinlaub, Head Winemaker (pictured left), has developed a portfolio of Premium and iconic wines (Limited Edition, Protegido and Alto Tajamar) based on the best of the original vineyard Quinta de Maipo. He aims to make wines that faithfully express their origin with a fresh style and a wide range of aromas and flavors.

Vitral conquers for the simplicity and excellent value The great success is the reserve line VITRAL, fresh and elegant wines with good body that exemplify the typicity of the different varieties, especially in their origin, Chile. The composition of colours that has each stained glass (labels), represents the fusion of aromas and flavours of each variety.
