James Forbes, the UK director for Wines of Argentina, has confirmed he will be standing down from the position.
From 1 October 2009, the Wines of Argentina head office in Mendoza will assume all UK affairs under the direction of WoA president Susana Balbo.
Everyday management of UK affairs will fall to Andrew Maidment.
‘James has been a great ambassador for Argentina and we thank him for his considerable efforts,’ said Susana Balbo.
‘Wines of Argentina will continue to have an extremely strong focus on the UK market.’
Forbes will continue as a consultant on future and, as yet, unnamed European projects.
‘I’d like to thank Wines of Argentina for giving me such a privileged and prestigious role,’ said Forbes in a statement.
