How refreshing to hear a propriater of a great growth talking so honestly, and well, about the qualities and value of his wines. Mr. Barton is an example for other propriaters. Alas, although he could probably charge even more for his wines, they are now out of my league due to interantional demand. Pitying myself, I will have to do with the few bottles Ch. Léoville-Barton 1986 and 1989 still left in my modest cellar.

As usual, the great gentleman, who is Anthony Barton, speaks honestly, openly, and with unparalleled candor.
He remains one of the great patriarchs of the Médoc.
I, like so many, wish him long and continuously healthy life. I look forward to hearing him speak about how his 2010 wines have developed once they've reached their 20th birthday.
