Subdued black fruits nose, quite meaty. Firm and solid, quite tannic and even extracted, has good concentration but lacks a lightness of touch. It has fair acidity but there are few nuances. Moderate length, with a chewy finish.

Red cabbage in a good way. A hint of bay leaf and distant eucalyptus. Intriguing and interesting. A pleasant lift of freshness. Almost blackcurrant pastille. Not showy. Quite European in style.
