Tenuta Rocca

Andrea Bricarello

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

A touch reductive at first but opens up pretty quickly with notes of bramble fruits and strawberry compote. rich and complex. Very big and intense. with long lasting aftertaste.

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Very deep red. Powerful oaky nose, a bit overripe, but has vibrant black cherry fruit. Very rich, sumptuous, full-bodied, and succulent; certainly concentrated and has fair acidity, yet lacks a little drive and freshness on the finish. Assertive and long, and needs time to harmonise.

Ian D'Agata

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Deep purple ruby. Ink, cinnamon, flint and aromatic herbs mingle with soy sauce, plum liqueur and blackberry jam. Then long and surprisingly fresh but with balsamic super ripe black cherries lasting on the long high acid palate. Interesting, and better with food.
