Fattoria Tregole

Richard Baudains

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva

Great nose, full of fruit, mineral, dark flowers and the earthy-mineral of Chianti. Very dry, tight, fluid palate, nervy, pure and long. Touch too stalky in the finish.

Emily O'Hare

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva

Smells like Sangiovese, tastes like Sangiovese, has the broadness and depth of great Sangiovese, invigorating, savoury and powerful.

Michael Palij

Tasting: Chianti Classico Riserva

Deep, brooding ruby, pronounced, obvious nose of blackcurrant, sandalwood, soy sauce, liquorice and vanilla. Lots of new oak here but the fruit is more delineated and ripe. Falls apart on the palate where it is preternaturally mature to the point of oxidation with a wild, hedgerow character and dominant tannins.
