Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Dense, inky black fruits nose, quite plummy. Rich, voluptuous, creamy, full-bodied, a lavish mouthful of fruit, with plenty of spice and vigour. The acidity is modest so it doesn’t have huge persistence, but it’s a hedonistic, upfront style with generous fruit.

This wine shows a lot of freshness and a vegetal character. Ripe with notes of cassis and prune. Does not show great complexity but acidity is good and brings balance.

Juicy fruit with some vanilla custard. Something medicinal in the nose too. Ripe blueberries to the max. Plenty of structure.
