The top trophy-winning wines from the 2009 Decanter World Wine Awards will be showcased at a special tasting event at Selfridges, London.
From next week, visitors to the Wonder Bar will be able to sample a selection of 52 trophy-winning wines for two weeks between 7-20 October 2009.
This year the tasting has been extended by a week to cope with demand due to an extremely successful launch last year.
Dawn Davies, head sommelier, says, ‘we’re very excited about hosting the Trophy Tasting again.
‘Last year it was a complete sell-out, so we’re delighted that we’ve been able to extend it to run for two weeks this year.’
The 2009 Decanter World Wine Awards results are ONLINE NOW.
For the first time ever, The Decanter World Wine Awards tastings will also be held the Glass Brasserie in Sydney and The Wine Way in Shanghai.

Marcus Ford, of The Wine Way, says, ‘a Decanter World Wine Awards medal is the ultimate seal of quality. We are looking forward to seeing how our customers ‘rate’ these wines and to see if the ‘Chinese Palate’ is in agreement with the international judges.’
The tastings are all taking place in October 2009. To book advance tickets for Selfridges, London, visit www.decanter.com/events or call +44 (0) 20 3148 4513.
