Decanter Man of the Year, Christian Moueix, celebrated the 100 years anniversary of the birth of his father Jean-Pierre Moueix (1913-2003) and the renewal of Chateau La Fleur-Petrus on Wednesday 19th June 2013.
International guests, including Tom Matthews, editor of
the Wine Spectator and Jeannie Cho Lee MW from Hong Kong joined Christian
Moueix and family for a specially prepared lunch by Michel Guerard and a
vertical tasting of Chateau La Fleur Petrus from 2005 to 2010.

Guerard’s signature dish Oreiller Moelleux de Mousserons et de Morilles with
the magnums of 1998 accompanying the Civet de Hommard New Look Noix de Veau
Braisee Au Vin de Pomerol.
Christian Moueix told the guests, ‘my father always
said the first quality of a wine is abundance.” All were glad his words
were being followed so well.
