The Portuguese winery that produces singer Sir Cliff Richard's range of wines has gone on sale with a nearby property for almost €10m.
Would you like to make Sir Cliff Richard’s wine, Vida Nova and Onda Nova?
The Adega do Cantor winery, or ‘winery of the singer’, has been listed for sale alongside Quinta do Miradouro in Portugal’s Algarve.
The properties have a joint asking price of €9.5m, according to a listing published by estate agency Fine & Country. It said the larger property has four double bedrooms and the smaller one three bedrooms.
Adega do Cantor lies in Guia in central Algarve and was built with the principal purpose of producing Vida Nova and Onda Nova wines from three surrounding estates: Quinta do Moinho, owned by Sir Cliff Richard; Quinta da Miradouro and Vale do Sobreiro.
Anyone buying the properties could well find themselves treading grapes with Sir Cliff himself, one of the UK’s best known music artists with a huge back catalogue of songs ranging from ‘Devil Woman’ to ‘Millenium Prayer’.
‘Sir Cliff is very much involved in producing the wine,’ says Adega do Cantor on its website. ‘When in Portugal he is often seen getting his hands dirty in the vineyard or indeed his feet dirty in the winery.’
