Wines of Chile has appointed a UK director to take charge of its new London office which opens in May.
Ricardo Letelier, general manager of Wines of Chile announced yesterday that Michael Cox, currently managing director of Negociants UK, a leading UK importer of Australian wines, has been appointed.
A press release said the UK office’s primary focus would be on increasing sales of Chilean wines above £5: ‘The UK office will work to show that Chile is not just a producer of entry-level wines.’
Cox said this was the right time for Chile to be opening a new UK office. Chilean wines ‘deserve a wider audience,’ he added.
