This palate-pleaser from 30 year-old vines starts off with a perfumed fruit and blossom nose. On the palate are classic cassis notes with a touch of tomato leaf from the Cabernet, while the sweet ripeness of Merlot lends a round fruit character. An elegant wine that has juicy acidity, tannins with good grip and, on the finish, pleasant blackberry and plum notes, nicely integrated with oak.
