A bright purplish-red in the glass with a complex aromatic profile of red and black fruit, graphite, blackberry, and black pepper. Dry but expansive, it has a juicy core that brims over with fruity flavour enhanced by notes of mocha. Rounded, fine-grained tannins re-affirm the palate’s substantial presence during the long finish. The 2018 vintage was a typical one for Mendoza, and Caro reflected this with a blend of 76% Malbec and 24% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 18 months in barrels from Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite.
