Hailing from the eponymous plot, this 80-year-old field blend of various Piedmontese varieties brought by Italian immigrants to the Calingasta Valley is now vinified by Cara Sur, a partnership between Pancho Bugallo and Sebastián Zuccardi. Fermented using whole bunches only and aged in concrete, this shows incredibly purity and vividness of fruit, supported by vivid acid and zesty, finely etched tannins. Alluring earthiness and smoky meatiness playing in the background.
