Sweet, layered aromas of slightly confected, superficial appeal. But appealing nonetheless! Sweet, rich, smooth and lush, with balancing plum skin acidity. The extravagant lushness in both the La Consulta wines here is very head-turning and showy, very Argentinian, hard to dislike. More seriousness on the palate than its aromas suggested.
