Sourced from 90-year-old Malbec vines in the Zingaretti Vineyard, which has two distinct sections which contribute different characteristics to the wine. Fruit from each is fermented separately before blending, with proportions varying year-on-year. Aromas of blackcurrant and blueberry, with a floral potpourri note. Firm and crunchy tannins lend a fresh green note to the black-fruited palate, with pink peppercorn spice. With 18 months in French oak (50% new) this will last, but fruit purity makes it drinkable now.
