Barossa Valley

Full

Screwcap

Cast in hues of deepest crimson, this heady concoction of dark plums, liquorice and blackberries is overly expressive for a big-bodied wine. Fermented on skins for 20 days, it’s a fit, lean heavyweight that dances around the ring, with its menacing stare offset by a rakish grin. There’s a lot of power here, but it’s not humourless. The red fruits shine brilliantly over juicy blackberry, tempered by a bedrock of minerality that lends a lean savoury note to the final curtain call.
