Barossa Valley

Screwcap

This lively, modern style of medium-bodied Shiraz is worth taking note of. It’s deceptive, because its bold purple colour suggests something heavier and more imposing. However, with nimble, open-hearted berries sourced from Bethany and Tanunda vineyards, winemaker Reid Bosward has used a gentle hand to guide a luscious mid-palate of swirling plum and blueberry with a pinch of spice that dances lightly on its toes. A long, silky palate skates along a keen acid line that promotes pleasing freshness, without compromising firm structure and persistent flavours. Clever – and delicious.
