Natural Cork

A muscular Greenock super-selection – just 1,127 bottles – from 1915 vines planted by the Helbig family (this cuvée used to be called Fifteen). Bright sweet plum and smoky clove lead, then creamy mocha oak brings richness. Ripe but present tannins underpin concentrated blueberry, black cherry, tapenade, salty liquorice and panforte layers, with dried herb and coffee bean riffs. Pronounced iron-like cut-finger notes build. Fermented in a 1,500-litre barrel and matured in new French oak hogsheads and puncheons after six weeks on skins.
