McLaren Vale winemaker Drew Noon MW has long held Langhorne Creek in the highest regard, making it a foundation of his reserve wines. Their generous flavour and amplified aromas fit neatly into his philosophy of presenting bountiful, formidable wines that are imposing in heft and stature, yet supremely balanced in their flavour and length. This fruit, sourced from the Borrett family vineyard, sits heavily in the sombre black fruit spectrum, but with enough red berry lift and lively acid to propel a long mid-palate ride, although it’s all bound tightly by a firm black tannic grip at the end. Destined for sumptuous satisfaction across at least two decades in the cellar.
