A cooler customer than its cousin Bin 28, Bin 128 has been showcasing the fruit of Coonawarra's terra rossa soils since its inaugural release in 1962. An utterly beguiling nose – violet, peonies and iris dance over blackberries, black cherry, liquorice and cracked pepper. On the palate, earthy tones emerge alongside the red and black fruit, leading to a focused anise finish. Elegant, expressive and finely structured, with 12 months in French oak hogsheads (12% new), this will certainly reward cellaring.
