In 1878, Benno Seppelt started a tradition which produced Australia’s most revered fortified Tawny - reserving a puncheon of the vintage’s best ‘Port’ for 100 years, untouched. With mind-blowing intensity, this viscous Para raids the spice rack. Clove, tamarind, cassia, liquorice and star anise are joined by burnt treacle, molasses, citrus peel, Camp coffee essence and rancio notes, which go some way to balancing the still plump, toothsomely sweet rum and raisin fruit. A feast.
