Although the winery's core focus is on Grenache, Shiraz and Chardonnay, Giles Cooke MW, Fergal Tynan MW and Peter Leske couldn't resist experimenting with some Roussanne from a vineyard at an altitude of 100m in McLaren Vale. Hand picked and whole-bunch pressed, the fruit is fermented with natural yeasts and matured for eight months in old French barriques. 

The resulting wine is floral on the nose, with some citrus and grass notes accompanied by honeyed hints of pear and honeysuckle. The palate demonstrates lovely fresh acidity, balancing the fullness of the honeyed fruit flavours.
