Pale gold with a faint rosy hue, this is a svelte, elegant sparkling rosé of the finest pedigree. Appearances can be deceptive: despite its shy colour, it has mighty intensity – a rolling thunder of richness from the Pinot Noir (68%), giving flavours of wild strawberry and a puff of sherbet, but with a crisp frame of green apple acidity. Firm structure ensures sharp flavour definition that benefits from the plush bloom of lees-influenced brioche notes. This 2008 has just been released in Australia (AU$122) whereas the 2007 is now arriving on UK shores and available at Fortnum &amp; Mason and a few other specialist retailers.
