Gary Farr and his son Nick are steeped in Burgundian culture, although their wines have a richness that derives from the Geelong climate. There are raspberry-jelly and candied violets aromas on the nose, yet it remains vivid and bright rather than confected. It's solid and concentrated, ripe and polished, with the new oak not too dominant. Fine structure and good if not exceptional acidity give balance and length to this muscular Pinot.
