Touches of herbal eucalyptus notes alongside the cassis and blackberry fruits that gives shape, sculpting and a fresh uplift through the finish. There is a fine but firm tannic hold, gently smoked cedar, you can feel the European roots of the winemaker in terms of its weight and concentration. There is power here but it is controlled and opens up slowly, in its own time. An extremely fine wine. 40% new French oak. 2% Cabernet Franc completes the blend.
