Opaque brown with a thin garnet rim, this has intense aromas of ground coffee, raisin, toffee, walnut shell, dark malt, dark chocolate and old wood. The palate is a thing of beauty: rich, intense and luscious. Salted caramel, chocolate, christmas pudding, raisin, charred almond, coffee. Brilliant intensity here, with lovely grippy structure and a nice wash of acidity carrying it long and persistent through the finish. Outstanding.
