Aromas of apricot, lemon balm, ginger spice, and honeysuckle leap from the glass. The palate is structual and intense, with chalky phenolics wrapping around ginger spice, apricot and a glimmer of preserved lemon. Nice length and drive through the finish. This is an architectural wine, piqueing interest with it's grippiness and energy. Spending two weeks on skins and wild fermented in a combination of new and used French oak, as well as ceramic barrel, this has a yellow gold colour.
