Light in hue but with solid fruit intensity on the nose – red berries and fruit compote laced with vanilla and baking spice. The palate is a little thin, with notes of terracotta and red fruit strap framed by drying tannins. The finish is rather herbal and has a black tea leaf note. The challenges of the season can be seen but there are some heroic elements that pull through and lift this wine up. 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Malbec and aged 18 months in French oak.
