Lots of minerality and a hint of sea breeze on the nose, partnered by crunchy crushed stone and fresh, juicy, vibrant red fruits, plus green peppercorn, cardamom, and a lick of dried mint and thyme. Jubilant, chalky tannins and red earth. Wine gum, redcurrant, blackcurrant and black plum on the palate that is juicy without a tight-knit concentration, yet there is something dark and broody tucked away. Draws you back in time and time again. A joy of a wine; fresh and fruity, with a European attitude. Hand-picked fruit from Riverdale Vineyard. Aged in French oak for 10 months. No filtration.
