A cool growing season with below-average rainfall resulted in a later than normal harvest. 

The resulting wine is now a deep golden colour with saffron glints. It screams Art Series in the mouth, with its remarkably pure, succulent core of peach, nectarine, poached pear and creamy, nutty butterscotch oak. It's still in fine fettle, and even has a second wind of white truffle, toasted coconut and desiccated pineapple. Lavish, perhaps excessive, but doubtless impressive for its age and very much of its time!
