Lemon nougat, popcorn, glossy cheesecloth and stone fruit blossom as it opens. The palate wows with a mouthfilling concentration of flavour, succulence, clarity and drive. This is no wallflower, yet it's a wine with plenty of purity and the winemaking supports the expression of the fruit. Phenolics swish with supple finesse, acidity is taut, with focused drive. I love the subtle flint paired with a purity and honesty of expression. A balanced wine that would sing with an umami broth laced with chicken skin. Matured in French oak barriques on lees for 10 months. Give this some time for the aromatics to unfold.
