Windows Estate vineyards are widely biodiverse, with more than half of the farmland being reserved for bushland, while other portions are taken up by fruit and nut trees as well as livestock. The La Fenêtre blend changes regularly to reflect the success of each clone in the vineyard, but always highlights the best-performing. Grapes for this wine come from the Lucas and Violette plots, which have varying soils and orientations. Roger Jones: Lime and purity, fresh vibrancy, a wine evolving well with a clean mid-palate. Long, fresh and moreish, there are nutty stone fruit hints with some guava and spice. Justin Knock MW: Baked pineapple and lemon, vibrant upright and chalky palate, with talc-like acidity. Julia Sewell: This retains a fresh lime-juice minerality that balances well against the preserved tangerine and green pineapple fruit qualities. Fresh and lively.
